Jay Upchurch is an accomplished technology leader with more than 24 years of experience in cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise IT solutions. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at SAS, where he leads the company’s global IT organization and oversees SAS Managed Cloud Services. In this role, he helps organizations strategically leverage technology to navigate today’s evolving business landscape.

Before joining SAS, Jay was Vice President of Hospitality and Retail Cloud at Oracle, guiding cloud-based solutions for global enterprises. He previously held leadership roles at MICROS Systems, AT&T, USinternetworking, and Interpath Communications. His career has been defined by a passion for innovation, aligning corporate strategy with technology investments to drive efficiency, scalability, and transformation.

Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He enjoys mentoring emerging leaders in technology and staying at the forefront of advancements in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
